Remus is famous, he's sure of that, more sure of that than he is of his own name. As far as he's concerned this is all one big contest and he is the celebrity guest here to present the mayhem... The lack  his own memories is rather disturbing... A publicity stunt possibly, or a rival famous fellow feloniously forcing him from his rightful role? Either way Remus has vowed to make the best of it, chatting to the folks he comes across and trying to help them put on the best show for the cameras. Remus isn't here to take sides, Remus is on your side, you're all his favourites.
Also he's pretentious enough to give himself two names even after the apocalypse.
